Anyone's who's been to London may be familiar with the area known Covent Garden. Originally the largest marketplace of fruits and vegetables in England, it is now a bustling and vibrant place where both old and new sites blend together to create an area thriving with culture. You can sample delicacies from around the world, shop in its cobblestone street markets, and (not at the least) explore its fine arts. In the space of a few blocks, you can visit a museum, take in a musical matinee, or see the opera. Or a long-running play, then--of course--the ballet! It is an artistic community like no other. Spending time in Covent Garden with its many offerings is what inspired the creation of Covent Garden Class. On this recording, we blended together many different musical types to create a classroom atmosphere reminiscent of this artistic haven.
I am a ballet teacher and needed some new music for class after getting very tired of hearing the same cd over and over again. I picked this one based on others reviews and after be able to listen to pieces. I have been using it in class for about 3 months now and I am enjoying it very much. I love these kind on cds that have the class all there for you and you can just move right along with the class as they have it on the cd.
