This is the best garden flower book I have come across so far. It has everything from Perennials, Annuals, Shrubs, Roses, Climbers, Bulbs, and Cacti. I'm more into growing annuals from seed, so this one makes it easy to plan my garden. It shows color photos of almost every species, and has a monthly chart showing you when to sow, when to thin, and when the plant flowers. Tells you basic feature of each species, when to feed if any, common problems, sowing methods, preferred grow sites. Very informative! You can usually find a good deal on a used copy of this book on Amazon, and it's probably my favorite out of all of them.
